HONORING NINA

JanFeb17 - Nina-01.png

We mourn the loss and honor the memory of our friend, Nina, and we give our condolences to her family. Nina and her family have joined us at the Portland Race for the Cure for 16 years. We were fortunate enought to visit with her shortly before she passed away in December from stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones and passed away with a smile on her face. She is forever our hero and so is her family.

PEOPLE AND PROJECTS

JanFeb17 - CommunityPartners-03.png

Komen Oregon and SW Washington recently learned that Reser Fine Foods and Don Poncho teamed up to create a Pink Tortilla Chip Campaign with their restaurant partners across the country! The support for the chips and the cause were so great that Resers and Don Poncho staff presented us with a $7,500 check in early December! We are so honored, and grateful to them. The chips are delicious too!

We also thank our friends at Umpqua Dairy for supporting Komen's mission in the Pacific Northwest during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October through the sales of their limited edition huckleberry cheesecake. Umpqua Dairy presented us with a check of $9,274.17 early January. We are grateful for your support and continuing partnership.

We wish to give a shout out to those people who got busy and showed they are MORE THAN PINK!
